A word-famous gallery has unveiled radical plans for enlarged public areas. The Royal Academy in Mayfair will spend £50m on new developments, which will unite two halves of the site for the first time. The plans include a 260-seat lecture theatre, an expansion of teaching areas and space dedicated to displaying students’ work.
The International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham has announced it is to host the British Nuclear Medicine Society and the Association of Breast Surgery for the first time, as well as welcoming the return of the British Association of Dermatologists.
Organisers of all three events cited the ICC’s central location as one of the key factors for choosing the venue.
