Liverpool-based Epic Apart Hotel has opened its latest property in the city’s RopeWalks area. Apartment hotels can provide big savings for delegates and business travellers, provided the team is close-knit and doesn’t mind sharing a kitchen and facilities. Productivity in the UK is set to rise by 10.7%, according to a study commissioned by the International Festival for Business (IFB 2016). The Exhibition Centre Liverpool, the latest addition to the ACC Liverpool venue complex, has confirmed 15 exhibitions ahead of its official September launch. Exhibition Centre Liverpool will host concerts for up to 6,000 people, sporting events, and large conferences and banquets. The integrated 216-room Pullman hotel is taking bookings from January next year.

A convention bureau has rebranded its ambassador programme. The Club Liverpool programme will be unveiled this week at IMEX in Frankfurt. An international five-day conference on lung disease will generate £7.8m for Liverpool. ACC Liverpool is the venue for the 47th Union World Conference on Lung Health in 2016. Liverpool-based organisers of the Venue Expo show, UKFE, has announced the introduction of a hosted buyer programme for this year’s show, the first event to be held at the new Exhibition Centre Liverpool, 8-9 September.
