Day three of IBTM Wired has wrapped, with the focal points of the day being on the ‘moonshot’ thinking process, the perspective of associations as well as the Middle East and Africa regions.
Ozan Varol, rocket scientist turned bestselling author and professor, took on the keynote session, explaining his method of ‘moonshot’ thinking to achieve a business’ goals.
IBTM’s virtual event, IBTM Wired, closed out its second day discussing the importance of digital platforms to the next stage of the events industry’s recovery.
Speakers on day two of the event included: Abi Cannons, global innovation success manager, Reed Exhibitions; Tess Vismale, CMP, DES, chief event executioner, event technologist, isocialx; Rachel Stephan, founder, Snoball Events; and Linda McNairy, VP Americas, American Express Meetings & Events.
IBTM has been granted preferred provider status from the Events Industry Council (EIC) for its Knowledge Programme at the event company’s IBTM Wired show.
Delegates attending the event, which takes place 28 June to 1 July 2021, can gain Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) points for each education session attended. These will enable them to accrue up to 20 hours of continued education over the course of the four-day event.
Reed Exhibitions’ new upcoming online event, IBTM Wired, will see four event professionals discuss what they think the next few years has in store for the industry.
Taking place, 28 June-1 July, IBTM Wired will cover issues including hybrid, and personalisation, with each day focused on a specific region.
Following Reed Travel Exhibitions announcement, 18 September, that its IBTM World live event would not take place in Barcelona this year (1-3 December), its IBTM Events team has announced the first details of IBTM World Virtual, an online event that will take place 8–10 December 2020.
