Venue used to film The Crown completes renovation
Surrey-situated De Vere Horsley Estate has revealed the results of a £2m refurbishment to its Horsley Towers, the mansion house featured in Netflix’s historical drama, The Crown.
The renovation involved a complete overhaul of interiors throughout Horsley Towers, which have been transformed to bring them in line with De Vere’s distinctly British aesthetic. Horsley Towers now features a relaxed and contemporary reception and communal areas with soft floral and geometric patterns, tweeds and accents of royal blue. In bedrooms, tan leather furniture, tweeds and a muted heritage colour palette combine with contemporary lighting and sleek bathrooms to create spaces that are comfortable and stylish.
The venue includes 14 flexible event spaces available, adding to the existing 49 meeting and event spaces. Capacity sits comfortably at 120.
Michael Micallef, general manager at De Vere Horsley Estate, commented: “With its reinvigorated look now contributing to an all-improved overall guest experience, we are delighted with the results of the refurbishment. The makeover has returned Horsley Towers to its former glory. Whether a show-stopping wedding, corporate event or romantic weekend away, every occasion benefits from 21st-century style and comfort as well as Horsley Tower’s rich heritage.”
The estate’s restaurant serves a range of beverages alongside a menu which celebrates classic British dishes with a modern flare. In addition to the 28 bedrooms in Horsley Towers, Horsley Place, a contemporary hotel set within De Vere Horsley Estate, has a further 152 bedrooms.
