Tobacco Dock Food signs new £35m, five-year catering contract

Eventist Group’s Tobacco Dock Food has signed a new five and a half year contract to continue its role as in-house caterer for the London event venue.

Tobacco Dock Food has held the contract since 2015, providing award-winning catering for hundreds of events each year and Eventist Group is thrilled to win the extension, valued at over £35 million.

Jonathan Read, commercial director at Tobacco Dock, said: “The partnership between Tobacco Dock and Eventist Group that created Tobacco Dock Food has set a new level for in-house venue catering and the feedback from our diverse group of demanding clients has been universally glowing.”

Tobacco Dock Food has developed what it calls a "series of fine-dining menus that sit alongside a creative and authentic gallery of street food offers, all of which are elegantly presented and served by a cheerful, well presented and well-informed team."

Read further commented: “The partnership between Tobacco Dock and Eventist Group goes from strength to strength and the team continually drive both the quality of food, service and sustainability for the world’s leading brands and organisations which the venue attracts. We are delighted to be awarding the new contract to Eventist against strong competition from some of the leading catering groups in the UK.”

Tim Stevens, managing director of Eventist, said: “We are delighted to continue our relationship with Tobacco Dock. This partnership sets the gold standard throughout the capital for conferences, exhibitions, product launches, and awards dinners.

"I am immensely proud of the team. They have achieved so much over the last four years and this is the ideal endorsement of their focus and their talent.  We very much look forward to extending this special partnership and reaching even greater heights over the next five years”.
