Museum of London announced as Hire Space Awards 2018 venue

The Museum of London has been announced as the venue for the Hire Space Awards, on 24 October 2018.

The Hire Space Awards celebrate the best of the events industry, by recognising and rewarding hard-working, innovative and forward-thinking venues and event bookers around the UK.

The annual awards will take place in the museum’s galleries and the Sackler Hall space, with a three-course luxury meal courtesy of Moving Venue. Live music and entertainment is still to be announced. The evening is expected to draw 250 events industry professionals.

Sarah McQueen, venues and hospitality manager at the Museum of London, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have been chosen to host the prestigious Hire Space Awards at the Museum of London.

“The awards recognise the very best of the events world and champions those individuals who make it such a vibrant and exciting sector to be part of. We look forward to welcoming friends and colleagues from across the industry to the museum for an evening of celebration.”

Last year’s winners included RIBA, Searcys at the Gherkin, Printworks, Banking Hall and the Good Hotel. ‘Events Team of the Year’ was won by Festival of Media, and the ‘Unsung Hero’ award was won by David Taylor of the Royal Museums Greenwich.

Submissions for venue awards close on 3 August 2018, and for event booking teams on 20 August 2018. The winners will be chosen by an independent panel of judges, and announced live on the night.
