MEET South West to showcase regional MICE market in 2019

The South West is playing host to MEET South West, a new trade show which will showcase its MICE market, on 30 January 2019.

Events, hospitality and business tourism is now worth an estimated £400m across the South West. In the past 12 months, the region has hosted or supported events from the United Nations Foundation, UK Space Agency, Department for International Trade, TSB, the RAC and the Prince’s Trust, among others.

The South West can offer prices considerably lower than in London, as well as rail, road and air links from Bristol and beyond. The region has an ecosystem capable of supporting complex projects, and is increasingly starting to attract planners regionally, nationally and internationally.

MEET South West will bring the region’s events industry together under one roof for the first time, providing an opportunity to connect with the best venues and suppliers. MEET South West will showcase the quality and diversity of the South West’s event industry, from boutique venues to agencies and suppliers.

Running alongside the exhibition, a conference programme will provide practical advice on how to deliver exceptional events and maximise return on investment, while the region’s Destination Management Organisations will host fam trips for organisers, including from London, with visits to Bath and Bristol.
