Manchester Central fills newly created role
Manchester Central has appointed Alex Robertson to its newly created role of director of hospitality.
Robertson joins the business with an impressive track record, having spent almost 30 years delivering hospitality experiences across a range of operations and venues, including the Royal Albert Hall and ExCel London.
Most recently, Robertson has spent the last eight years leading the hospitality division of BHLive, transforming their business from ‘in house’ caterer at Bournemouth International Centre to a successful multi-site operation servicing over 20 venues across the south of England.
Speaking about his appointment, Robertson said: “I am thrilled to join the award-winning team at Manchester Central. The venue has an outstanding reputation for its hospitality offer and it’s incredibly exciting to have the opportunity to grow and develop it even further.
“Manchester Central is home to an impressive range of high-profile events and I’m looking forward to working with clients, visitors and the wider team to deliver remarkable experiences across every aspect of our catering proposition.”
Shaun Hinds, CEO of Manchester Central, adds: “Alex makes a fantastic addition to our team. Our hospitality offer is one of the ways in which we can truly delight our clients and delegates, setting ourselves apart from the competition. Alex brings the right mix of experience and a wealth of really exciting ideas that I can’t wait to see come forward.”
