London agency mclcreate appoints new client development director

Soho-based integrated live events company mclcreate has appointed former head of sales development at Royal Mail, Jill Leake (pictured), as its new client development director.

Company CEO Tim Spencer describes the appointment as “a significant statement of intent” in terms of the agency’s future direction.

Leake has had a varied career spanning 30 years, embracing diverse roles in theatre, publishing, marketing and communications both with agencies and large corporates. Leake first started working with mclcreate in her role as senior account manager, and then head of client services within Royal Mail Communications Services, RMG’s in-house creative agency.

“mclcreate is a special live events business that’s in great shape for the future,” says Leake. “Having worked with the company for many years on many different projects, I understand its DNA, its creative and production capabilities and the fantastic talents of its people.”

Leake is the second senior management appointment at mclcreate, following its successful management buyout from the NEP Group, Inc. in September 2017. She joins Neil Lawson, who took over as MD at that time and has a background in senior positions at HSBC and in high level business consultancy.

mclcreate has worked with brands including Ricoh, Swinton, Abbvie and others.

The company offers nationwide and international coverage from offices in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
