Fitz Events announces rebrand

Fitzwilliam College has announced a rebrand, and is now known as ‘Fitz Events’. Forty event planners attended its launch reception.

At the event, representatives from companies and organisations were informed of the venue’s availability. This includes residential conferences, one-day meetings and corporate dinners alongside an introduction to the events team.

Presentations were made by the Master of Fitzwilliam College, Sally Morgan, Baroness Morgan of Huyton, Bursar Andrew Powell, Fellow Kourosh Saeb-Parsey and Robert Clarke, head of catering and events.

In Saeb-Parsy’s presentation, he highlighted the benefits of using the venue for conferences, research meetings and dinners. For example, the meeting rooms can provide natural light and spaces for groups ranging from 10-240 delegates.

The events team took the guests on informal tours in small groups, which was followed by a drinks and canapés reception in the Foyer of the Auditorium.

Robert Clarke said: “We are delighted to relaunch our meetings offering today and to demonstrate our capability for hosting events of all kinds. Our new events team is highly experienced in helping clients to create memorable occasions – whether it’s a small gathering or a much larger residential conference.

“Not only can we provide excellent facilities, we can also add value to our clients’ events with our flexible and creative approach.”

Master Baroness Morgan, added: “Fitzwilliam College has a reputation for being approachable, friendly and welcoming. We hope to see many existing and new clients bringing their events here so they can appreciate our facilities and service for themselves.”
