Eventscase to trial four-day working week

Event management software provider, Eventscase, is introducing a 32-hour workweek for its teams in the UK and Spain.

The pilot programme during July and August will see employees work four days a week – then be assessed on whether the arrangement can work indefinitely.

Eventscase said the initiative was a further step in their advocacy of creating an optimal work-life balance for staff. Employees will maintain their current salary conditions even if they do not work the 40 hours per week stipulated in their contracts. Staff will work different schedules to maintain levels of service for customers throughout the week.

Post-trial

Commenting on the news, Jose Bort, CEO and founder, Eventscase, said: “We will continue to maintain our service standards and our team will opt for different schedules in order to meet all demands, fulfil all agreements and commitments, and offer personalised attention during the five days of the week—as before—including outside office hours under the terms and conditions agreed with our customers.”

Once the summer is over, an in-depth analysis of team productivity and company services will be carried out and it will be determined whether to continue with this shift in work schedule on a permanent basis.

Eventscase employees worked a hybrid model before the pandemic and after the end of the confinement and restrictions, it was decided to close the offices and for all staff to continue to work remotely.

In Spain, a possibility of working “intensive hours” was also offered during summer months so that employees can finish their day at 3pm.
