Etherington leaves QEII Centre

The QEII Centre London’s sales and marketing director, Diane Waldron, has taken on a more active role in international sales following the resignation of the venue’s head of international sales and industry relations, Sue Etherington, last month.

Etherington’s role has not been filled and Waldron will be supported by senior account manager Catherine Cook, who previously worked alongside Etherington.

The QEII Centre’s chief executive, Mark Taylor, told CN: “Sue has played an instrumental role in the sales success of the centre for almost 15 years and over the last 12 months she has worked part-time to achieve a greater work-life balance. She is highly respected across the sector and will be sorely missed. We wish her all the very best as she dedicates more time to her family and enjoys pursuing other interests.”

Etherington, who worked at the QEII Centre since 2003, has set up her own consultancy, specialising in research and lead generation for associations.
