DRPG opens MediaCityUK office
Creative communications agency DRPG has opened its tenth office which will be located in Manchester.
Following the opening of its offices in Germany, Copenhagen, Ireland and the US, the new office aims to serve as the northern UK hub with the media function of the business already taking residence.
The new workspace also aims to create a concentrated network for client growth and further career opportunities for skilled local talent.
As the agency has seen a significant increase in demand for media products during the pandemic, including films, websites, apps and virtual events, it decided to make the company more accessible to the wider pool of talent situated in the infamous MediaCityUK.
Six media team members have already settled into the new office and as DRPG look to expand the team within the city of Manchester, more are set to join them over the coming months.
Ben Wallace, director of Media at DRPG, said: “This exciting expansion stemmed from the requirement to widen our net whilst recruiting talent within our rapidly growing digital, film and animations teams. We know that Manchester is a hot spot for skilled talent within the media disciplines, so we wanted to harness this opportunity within such a vibrant workspace within MediaCityUK. Not only will it provide a greater breadth of networking for us in the industry, rubbing shoulders with neighbours like the BBC, ITV and Dock 10, it also enables us to nurture existing and potential clients who are local to the north.”
Dale Parmenter, CEO of DRPG, commented: “We have always looked at MediaCityUK as an exciting space within the creative, digital and film industries, and now its well-established reputation proceeds the area with the wealth of talent coming through.”
“The new office is a great step in our physical expansion and equally a positive step in the world of flexible working. We are constantly looking at ways to create the best environment for our teams and having offices nearby to our northern team provides the option to be based in the office when they need and wish to do so. It will also act as a flexible office base for the existing team who are based in the Midlands and London as we continue to grow the services for our clients in the north of the UK.”
Tim Burton, Manchester-based Java Script engineer, who joined DRPG this year, concluded: “The company are focused on ensuring everyone is keeping happy and healthy from both physical and mental perspectives, encouraging people to speak up and take part in the direction of the vision and values of the organisation.
“From a Digital perspective, they have a great attitude for nurturing creativity and innovation and I've had the opportunity to work on really cool projects with a focus on training, up-skilling and encouraging personal growth and pushing for perfection. It's nice to have a presence in Manchester. As nice as working from home has been, it's great to be able to get back in the office, on flexible terms, and engage with people outside of MS Teams.”
