De Vere Tortworth Court appoints GM and deputy GM
De Vere Tortworth Court has announced the appointments of Raphael Herzog (pictured left) as general manager and Neil Parry (pictured right) as deputy general manager.
The appointments come following the hotel’s recent multi-million pound refurbishment, which has seen the opening of the new 1853 Restaurant and Bar and Library Bar, as well as renovation of The Orangery and significant enhancements to the property’s meetings and events spaces.
Raphael joins De Vere Tortworth Court with more than 15 years’ experience in the hotel and hospitality industry. His previous roles include: hotel manager and general manager at the 4* Holiday Inn Bristol, general manager at the 4* Bristol Hotel – part of The Doyle Collection, and general manager at the 5* Courthouse Doubletree by Hilton.
Raphael commented: “After admiring the hotel from afar, I’m thrilled to be joining the team at De Vere Tortworth Court. The recent completion of the phase one refurbishment already presents us with many opportunities to position the property as the luxury country hotel in the area.”
To support Raphael’s appointment, Neil Parry joins De Vere Tortworth Court as Deputy General Manager from his position as Hotel Manager at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham.
Neil’s hotel and hospitality experience stretches over 18 years with roles including: general manager at the Holiday Inn Express in Cardiff, deputy general manager at the Holiday Inn Bristol and food & beverage manager and operations manager at Hampton by Hilton.
