Animated ‘fly-throughs’ hope to boost sales at the Hilton London Metropole
UK-based technical production company Metro Broadcast has launched a series of animated ‘fly-throughs’ for the Hilton London Metropole. The displays take viewers on a journey through the building, and are part of an attempt to support international sales at the venue.
The animations are created from the perspective of the delegate as he or she walks from one conference area to the next, and are intended to help event organisers visualise the expansive conference space prior to a site visit.
The first animation showcases the scale of the large event spaces in the West Wing. The second takes viewers through to the mezzanine area in the main hotel. The final animation follows the delegate who has arrived at the hotel’s main reception area, and travels upstairs to attend a meeting in the mezzanine level of the main building.
Liz Rice, director at Metro Broadcast, says: “Our animations have been created to help the venue team represent the delegate experience at large-scale events and to assist event managers in solving planning and logistical challenges before and after a site visit.”
