Westminster Venue Collection appoints new director
Westminster Venue Collection, which features 34 members all based in London’s iconic City of Westminster, has appointed Andrew Waller to its board of directors.
The general manager at 110 Rochester Row will focus on developing relationships with suppliers to further add value to the collection, which features fashionable townhouses and private members’ clubs, luxury hotels, celebrated attractions, historic institutes and societies.
Andrew started his career in hospitality over 30 years ago working in both operational and sales roles and subsequently as the commercial director for venue finding and business travel agency, VRG.
After a four-year stint at Compass Group setting up the central conference and events service for Lime Venue Portfolio, Andrew worked as the general manager at Charles Darwin House, home of six learned societies in the field of Bioscience.
Speaking of his appointment, Andrew said: “The Westminster Venue Collection is an extremely valuable tool for both time-pressed event professionals to directly reach 34 venues with an enquiry, and for venues to share referrals, expertise and knowledge.
"I am sure by further extending the key partnerships the collection holds, we will be able to add a real competitive advantage to members while providing a first-class service for event planners.”
Westminster Venue Collection chair, Rachel Azzopardi, said: “We are extremely excited to welcome Andrew to the collection’s board of directors, he brings a wealth of relevant experience and passion for the industry. Andrew’s skills and expertise will be a valuable addition to the collection in ensuring it develops and grows in 2019 and beyond.”
