TFI Lodestar named conference partner

The British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) has appointed TFI Lodestar as its professional conference organiser, in a three-year arrangement.

The contract specifies key areas of focus:

- BSG’s Annual Meeting: a flagship event for gastroenterologists and hepatologists, showcasing clinical and educational developments as well as offering networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities.

- BSG Campus: a virtual programme for continuing professional development across all scientific areas of gastroenterology.

- BSG Trainees’ Section Events: developing and delivering training, education, leadership, representation, and networking for registrars across the UK.

The partnership aims to support BSG’s growth and reach in the post-pandemic events landscape, with emphasis on the ability to switch between physical, virtual, and hybrid event solutions. It will also focus on the BSG’s core objectives of member engagement, educational delivery, financial sustainability, and working towards its climate change targets.

Sarah Linnington, director of governance and finance, British Society of Gastroenterology said: “BSG recognised that we needed a consistent relationship, with a proactive trusted advisor, to help us achieve our long-term strategic objectives. That meant finding an agency that would look after our interests, offer sound financial management in an uncertain world, and have the agility, skills and resources to adjust to difficult situations.”
