Take Stress Matters' Mental Health survey

Stress Matters, which is run by CN columnist Laura Capell-Abra, is calling on all events professionals to take part in a short survey as part of research into the state of people's Mental Health, and how organisations handle it, in the industry.

Mental Health problems affect one in four people at work and one in three in the hospitality and events sector. The issue remains high on the agenda within the industry as millions of days are lost through mental health sickness, while The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is pushing for mental health first aid to become law.

Stress Matters wants to hear from you and will be compiling the results for a White Paper to be published later this year.

Stress Matters has also launched a Mental Health First Aider training programme in partnership with the Unique Venues of London. The two-day course will teach the skills needed to spot potential issues in people and give participants the confidence to have a conversation with, and support, others.

The courses are accredited by Mental Health First Aid England and are aimed at the events industry. It costs £300 + VAT per person and if you book on before 3 July. Use the discount code FRIENDS to receive a £50 discount. Click here to book.
