No quarantine for double vaccinated US and EU travellers to England

The UK Government announced that fully vaccinated travellers to England from an amber list country will no longer need to isolate.

The new guidance will come into force on Monday 2 August, 2021. The new guidance is expected to have the widest application to travellers from the EU or US.

Though isolation will no longer be mandatory, those entering the country will still be required to take a Covid-19 test prior to departure and a PCR test on the second day after they arrive.

Double vaccinated people will have to have taken a vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency, or US Food and Drug Administration.

The new guidance also allows for the international cruise industry to kick-start, with cruises capable of departing from England once more.
