New survey sheds light on future of travel and vaccine passports

A recent survey conducted by BCD Travel found that over 60% of business travellers believe quarantines on arrival will have a negative impact on traveller confidence.

The survey also found that business travellers are most positive about effective vaccines (84%) and pre-departure testing (67%). Digital health passes are also rated highly (66%).

When asked what their biggest concerns around digital health passes were, the protection of data ranked as number one, followed by ‘correct data’ and that they are ‘simple to use’.

Other findings from the survey include that by the end of 2021, 83% of travellers expect to be travelling again.

More than two thirds (69%) believe digital health passes should be handled by governments or NGOs, not by private organisations such as airlines.
