Join MPI and Conference News for Global Meetings Initiative Day
Global Meetings Initiative Day (GMID) will take place 14 April and Conference News is getting in on the action by joining Meeting Professionals International (MPI).
With the Covid-19 crisis upon us, MPI is keen to express that it is more important than ever to join forces and show the European meeting and event community what the association stands for.
MPI will host a three-hour online event, covering four relevant topics every 45 mins. When a new speaker starts, delegates will decide for themselves which they want to join and can leave and re-join whenever they want.
All sessions will be interactive and engaging, and recordings will be posted online afterwards.
Conference News editor Martin Fullard will be talking with MPI UK & Ireland president elect Ciara Feely, Sam McNeill of Song Division, Ian Cummings of CWT, and Simon Hughes of BVEP on how the events industry is viewed by national governments, and how this differs from country to country.
The session will explore attitudes towards the sector, as well as look to what the road to recovery might look like, and the importance of proactive sales in this time of crisis
