Identity attends Windsor Castle reception

Events agency, Identity, attended the Royal reception at Windsor Castle to celebrate its Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

Hosted by the Prince of Wales, the Princess Royal and the Countess of Wessex, as well as other members of the Royal family, the reception was arranged to congratulate and celebrate The Queen’s Award winners of 2020 and 2021.

Guests at the reception at Windsor Castle included representatives from 205 businesses, as well as Secretary of State for Business, Kwasi Kwarteng MP.

Awarded by Her Majesty The Queen, following the Prime Minister’s recommendation, the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade is considered the highest accolade to be bestowed upon a UK business and recognises outstanding achievement in trade, innovation and sustainable development.

Identity’s managing director, Michael Gietzen attended the event, having travelled from Glasgow, where the agency is currently delivering the COP26 climate change conference.

Gietzen said: “I was delighted to represent the hugely talented team at Identity at Windsor. It was a great honour to receive the Queen’s Award last year but of course our celebrations at the time were somewhat muted due to the pandemic. Thank you to the Royal Family for making it a very memorable afternoon – it was wonderful to be in the company of so many representatives from the very best of British business."

The reception marked Identity’s second meeting with Prince Charles in a fortnight, as the Prince of Wales also attended the World Leader and VVIP COP26 reception in Glasgow.
