Eventprofs Who Learn announces new board
Eventprofs Who Learn (EWL), a business networking club, has started the new year with a new advisory board and fresh vision for 2018.
A new advisory board made up of regional chairs and vice chairs has been confirmed with appointments including Cath Couzens of Perception Sales and Marketing as North chapter chair, Nel Flint of Capita Travel and Events as North Chapter vice chair, and Robert Kenward of You search and select as London Chapter vice chair. Adam Parry of Event Industry News also joins North Chapter as vice chair and Donna Cunningham of The ICC joins chair Amanda Thurlow as Midlands Chapter vice chair.
Cath Couzens said: "I'm excited to be joining Helen and the EWL team and family as new Chair for the North West and Yorkshire.
“The Northern Powerhouse has been in need of a networking and professional development group that speaks exclusively to event professionals and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to build and enhance the work started in 2016 to establish this fantastic network of event professionals.
“I'm also very excited to be working with Adam and Nel to join our skills and experience to further enhance the membership support and benefits on offer."
Robert Kenward said: "I’m delighted and honoured to become the VC for London and the South East. EWL is known as promoting a thought leading, knowledge sharing and networking space for #eventprofs driven by Helen’s insatiable appetite to improve the credibility and information sharing of our industry.”
Future plans include growth and expansion of the membership with the addition of enhanced benefits including a VIP event buyer programme, concierge booking service, forum and talent development programme, as well as the launch of The Annual Exchange, taking place on Thursday 19 July in Birmingham it will be the first 100% user generated un-conference held for event professionals.

We've a busy year ahead and some ambitious plans with lots of collaborations and partnerships however, I'm positive that with the guidance and support of the new team 2018 will be the year that EWL is on everyone's lips."
EWL aims to address topical issues in the industry within operations, diversity, continued professional development, marketing, technology and the latest trends; mice influencers, GDPR, gender pay gap, sexual harassment and future of event sponsorship.
