EventLAB by hirespace.com has introduced a new ‘Buyer Intent Programme’ for 250 event organisers attending its 2019 flagship event, which will take place at Business Design Centre, London on 14-15 October.

Part of a wider strategy to provide added value for attendees and exhibitors, the new programme will have EventLAB experts hold bespoke consultations with buyers – with an average yearly event spend of over £750,000 – ahead of time to scope out their event planning needs. Buyers will then be mutually matched for business meetings on the event floor with exhibitors who can deliver on those requirements. The programme will also benefit exhibitors as they will meet with buyers interested in their specific offerings.

High-profile brands already confirmed to attend the event include Amazon, BCD Travel, Bloomberg, British Airways, British Fashion Council, Capita, Investec and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). They will be looking to host meetings, events, conferences and incentives across the UK, specifically in London (90 percent), outside the capital (63 percent), as well as internationally (39 percent).

Felicity Cator, head of EventLAB, comments: “Based on customer feedback, the new buyer programme will help us deliver more targeted business opportunities for our customers and in doing so, maximising their ROI of attending. We also have ambitious plans to deliver valuable networking opportunities, as well as our carefully curated education content to ensure the event serves not only as a great backdrop against which to do business, but also to inspire with the thought-provoking expert presentations and engaging sessions on offer.”

EventLAB says it will provide a comprehensive education programme themed around some of the industry’s most debated topics, including audience engagement; innovation and technology; current affairs and regulations; leadership and professional development.

Exhibitors will be able to showcase their products and services to an invite-only trade visitor audience of over 1,000 delegates (25% increase on last year). So far, confirmed exhibitors include international venues, hotels, technology and events services providers, including the Edwardian Hotels, National Gallery, Royal Museums Greenwich, The Brewery and The Hurlingham Club.

A representative of National Gallery commented on his previous experience as exhibitor: “We prefer quality over quantity, and EventLAB provided just that. The event also allowed both suppliers and buyers the time to network and really understand each other’s needs.”
