British Marine launches new national conference
National Conference: Innovate for Success 2022 will be held at the National Motorcycle Museum and National Conference Centre (NCC) on 15-16 March 2022.
The two-day conference aims to provide an essential pre-season focal point for UK marine businesses to come together, network and collaborate.
With a focus on innovation, the event will explore new and emerging consumer trends and barriers to continued business growth and success. These include new consumer lifestyle choices, logistical, post-pandemic and Brexit related challenges, and new environmental opportunities.
Paul Martin, British Marine member and event chair, said: “Innovation is critical to the individual success of businesses and collective health of our industry. This event has grown out of the demand from our members and associations for a pivotal conference at which we can all meet to share, learn and collaborate. It will create a fantastic opportunity for B2B networking, acquiring knowledge and sharing best practice from across marine and wider sectors. We look forward to seeing a wide cross-section of delegates and participating companies there.”
Jon Partridge, commercial CEO at RS Sailing and RS Electric Boats, stated: “We are very excited about the forthcoming British Marine National Conference. We truly believe innovation will be key to our future growth in the UK and worldwide. To achieve the best result when innovating you need to grow knowledge, collaborate with others and seek exciting new partnerships. We’ll be attending the conference for all of those reasons.”
John Cooper, CEO of BAR Technologies, added: “BAR Technologies is the home of maritime innovation, focused on our specialist sectors of workboats, shipping including wind propulsion, leisure marine and special projects. Joining and sharing at next year’s British Marine National Conference is extremely important to us.”
Paul Gullett, managing director of Wave International concluded: “Having the opportunity to hold face to face meetings, share ideas, re-establish contact and make new connections at the British Marine National Conference will be invaluable for innovative companies like ourselves. It will also take place at exactly the right time for us to demonstrate important new products to key buyers and influencers in the marine sector.”
