As part of Conference News’ continued efforts to support the industry, the ‘Meet Out to Help Out’ scheme will be launched in October.
The scheme will available for any event venue or planner to use and is set to run throughout the next six months. It aims to help facilitate more meeting and small business event bookings despite the restrictions that have been put in place.
Following Reed Travel Exhibitions announcement, 18 September, that its IBTM World live event would not take place in Barcelona this year (1-3 December), its IBTM Events team has announced the first details of IBTM World Virtual, an online event that will take place 8–10 December 2020.
Fay Sharpe of Fast Forward 15 (FF15), a mentoring programme which aims to inspire, encourage and empower women in the events, hospitality and related industry to be the best they can be, has announced the publication of the Diversity & Inclusion academic survey.
The overall objective of the survey was to understand how inclusive the events industryis.
Business events for up to 30 may continue to run, it has been confirmed.
The news comes hours after the prime minister, Boris Johnson, announced that conferences and exhibitions will not be allowed to run from 1 October.
