Hull's new Bonus Arena: in pictures
Hull’s new Bonus Arena is due to officially open its doors today, 30 August, with a live performance by music legend Van Morrison.
Operated by SMG Europe, the new £36m venue is part of Hull City Council’s £250m UK City of Culture legacy plan to invest in culture and the arts, and provides the city with valuable conference and exhibition space.
The venue includes a 3,500-capacity concert auditorium, with the flexibility to reduce to 2,900 all-seated, 1,400sqm of exhibition space, and an 800-capacity conference auditorium. There are several smaller rooms available.
Bonus Arena also boasts Europe’s second largest partition wall, which separates the 1,400sqm floor space from the 800-seat auditorium.
