Hotel and meetings resort complex, The Belfry, has launched an apprenticeship scheme to create its "own stars of the future".
The Belfry has partnered with UK training provider Lifetime Training to provide a spectrum of courses ranging from customer service, fitness, food and beverage service, reception and hospitality supervision. Staff throughout the resort in Wishaw, Sutton Coldfield are being encouraged to sign up to the work-based learning scheme.
"We are passionate about offering all of our employees an opportunity to develop," says HR Manager at The Belfry, Emma Pride. "Apprenticeships are a great way to develop employees’ skills, and for new and existing staff to gain industry recognised qualifications."
The apprenticeship takes between six and 18 months to complete and leads to a diploma, formerly an NVQ.
In related news, The Belfry recently received the Hospitality Assured accolade which is the quality standard created by Institute of Hospitality for service and business excellence.
