Following an internal restructuring, Jonathan Cohen, Head of Business Events, UK and Ireland and International Sales and Marketing Manager for VisitDenmark, has decided to leave the company.
"I have enjoyed my time at VisitDenmark, its a fantastic destination for business events, however I felt that now was the right time to move on and use my knowledge of the industry to pursue a broader range of options," says Cohen.
Cohen has been on the boards of industry associations Eventia and MPI. He says he has decided to set up his own company, offering project based sales and marketing support services for the meetings and events industry.
"With 25 years of experience in the meetings and incentive industry, including the last 12 years working with VisitDenmark, I am well placed to understand the sector and offer creative and practical marketing and sales solutions for destinations, regional tourism organisations and DMCs," adds Cohen.
Director of Denmark UK and Ireland, Henrik Kahn, says: "We wish Jonathan well and will continue to build on the success he has helped to bring to Denmark in the future."
