The MIA Connect Taskforce gets the Inntel touch

The Meetings Industry Association (MIA), the principal association supporting and growing the UK’s business meetings and events industry, has announced a new member to its MIA Connect Taskforce.

The MIA Connect Taskforce helps MIA by offering industry expertise and help to deliver industry events. Its latest member Inntel’s supplier partnership manager, Callie Richards. She has been handpicked to be the only meetings management agency representative on the taskforce, and give the agent’s perspective.

Richards commented: “Agencies in our industry are invited to many events hosted by venues who are keen to promote their properties. My role in the Connect Taskforce team is to ensure that the agencies get a good return on investment in the time spent at these events”.

The taskforce is made up of experienced professionals from across the business meetings and events industry. The main purpose is to help deliver events for the MIA that give members a good return on investment, and raise the profile of the association to non-members.

As a member of the Connect Taskforce, Callie will advise on the content and format of the events to ensure they are kept relevant and that attendance is consistently at a high level.

She added: “It is a privilege to be asked to join a group of industry experts and help deliver great events for the MIA. It will help increase my knowledge of our industry and give Inntel face to face contact with lots of brilliant independent venues. It will also allow me to bring back great information for the teams at Inntel, as well as help shape the future MIA Connect events to make them even more beneficial for the agency community than they already are.”
