PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association) will again bring one of its Knowledge Exchanges to London as part of the programme, and the annual Parliamentary Dinner will place in Westminster also on the 25 October, and attended by senior government officials and Members of Parliament.

New for this year will see two regional events taking place in both Wales and Scotland. TBOE Wales will be held on 5 October at The Celtic Manor Resort, where it will also host a meeting of the UK Events Industry Board and a private dinner hosted by the Welsh Government. Scotland will also host its own TBOE event during November.

VisitBritain’s head of business events Kerrin MacPhie said: “Winning international events and driving the growth of business events in the UK is a key priority for VisitBritain and we know senior stakeholder engagement is critical in helping us deliver on these objectives.

“We are pleased to support The Business of Events programme for the second consecutive year, giving VisitBritain the opportunity to discuss our collective ambition with the sector, to grow its value to Britain.”

TBOE is a programme of invitation-only cross sector events, aimed at senior professionals from across the UK events industry, designed to engage, support and promote the UK’s events sector and is supported by both the Business Visits & Events Partnership and VisitBritain. Partners for this year also include ibtm, Cvent, VisitScotland, drp and the QEII Centre.
