EVCOM announce shortlist for EVCOM industry awards 2018
The Event & Visual Communication Association hosted a summer shortlist party this past Thursday, 5 July, to officially reveal the shortlisted entries for the EVCOM Industry Awards 2018.
Representatives from more than 60 agencies gathered at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in Pall Mall, London, to hear the shortlist and join in the celebrations.
The Awards, hosted by Tobacco Dock London on 30 November, will see winners announced across 30 categories recognising excellence in the communications, screen, live and digital disciplines.
Rachel Pendered, incoming chair of EVCOM, welcomed guests and said: “These awards are much sought after, coveted and extremely hard to win. Just being shortlisted is a huge achievement.
“This year EVCOM has taken the bold decision to allow only clients, commissioners and specialist judges to view and rate the work. EVCOM is the champion of excellence, creativity and innovation in our industry. Our members pursuit of excellence and our pride in showcasing this to the wider world is one of the things that makes EVCOM special.”
Pendered was joined on stage by fellowship director Des Good, who paid tribute to the careers of EVCOM fellows past and present in a special 20th anniversary address.
Six categories remain open until September and nominations are sought in the best agency and best challenger agency categories as well as, for the first time, best internal or in-house team.
